When Focus Pilates first opened its doors at Great World City in 2004, Pilates in Singapore looked very different from the thriving industry we know today. From those early beginnings to our home in Raffles Place – and our evolution into Focus Movement – we’ve had the privilege of growing alongside the people and practice we care so deeply about.
Over 22 years, we’ve guided our community through more than 550,000 Pilates and Physiotherapy sessions, helped train generations of instructors as the Singapore host studio for Polestar Pilates, and continued to bring movement, rehabilitation and education together under one roof.
As the industry has grown and Pilates has found a new place in popular wellness and lifestyle culture, our purpose has remained the same: to stay true to the depth of the method and help every person move better. For us, Pilates has always been more than a trend or aesthetic. It is an intelligent movement practice grounded in knowledge, curiosity, care and a genuine understanding of the person in front of us.
We’re incredibly proud to have been part of Singapore’s Pilates journey since its earlier days – and even more grateful to the clients, instructors and therapists who have grown with us along the way.
Thank you for trusting us with your movement for the past 22 years. We’re still learning, still evolving and still excited about what comes next – and there’s always room for more!
