Physiotherapy
At Focus, we have established a unique system of Physio-Pilates to help you not only recover from injury and/or post-surgery but to relieve pain and bring you to a state of fitness where you are fitter and stronger than before. We will customise a treatment plan that is unique to you and your needs.
What is
Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a hands-on healthcare approach that restores movement, reduces pain, and boosts overall well-being. Our experienced physiotherapists use targeted techniques and exercises to treat a wide range of conditions, from sports injuries and chronic pain to neurological and post-surgical conditions.
Whether you’re recovering, managing a condition, or looking to move better, physiotherapy helps you regain strength, mobility, and confidence. With a focus on education and prevention, it empowers you to take charge of your health and live life to the fullest.
What is
Physio-Pilates?
Physio-Pilates blends the core strengthening focus of traditional Pilates with the therapeutic expertise of physiotherapy. Designed for rehab, pain relief, and injury prevention, it’s ideal for those recovering from injuries, managing chronic pain, or correcting posture.
By targeting muscle imbalances and enhancing mobility, strength, and alignment, Physio Pilates offers a holistic, body-aware approach to healing. Each session emphasizes precise movement, core stability, and breath control for long-term physical wellness.
We are a fully-integrated Physiotherapy and Pilates studio specialising in movement-based rehabilitation. As one of the few clinics in Singapore offering full-hour sessions at our price point, we give our physiotherapists the time to thoroughly assess your injury, plan your recovery, and guide your rehab for the best possible outcome.

On your first visit
Your Physiotherapist will start with a thorough review of the condition of your injury, symptoms, and health history including previous medical records or investigations. Specific joint, muscle, and movement assessments will then be conducted according to your presentation. Based on the findings from the assessments, your Physiotherapist will determine an appropriate treatment plan, consisting of a combination of hands-on treatment and exercises.
It is important to discuss your treatment goals with your Physiotherapist, especially the type of activities you would like to resume or achieve. Together, you will both work on an agreed plan to get you there.
Step 1
Rehabilitation & Conditioning with Physio-Pilates
Physiotherapists use a combination of traditional Physiotherapy treatments listed in stage one and Pilates exercises to improve your strength and flexibility. Physiotherapists identify poor movement strategies and muscle imbalances and work closely with clients on their specific needs. Educating our clients on how to move well and modify their exercise to suit their abilities is our highest priority.

Step 2
Initial Rehabilitation with Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists use manual physiotherapy treatments such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage, electrotherapy and home exercise programmes, as well as an introduction to Pilates exercises on equipment (called Physio-Pilates). This is designed for clients with an acute injury or clients referred by a doctor, surgeon, or other healthcare professional.
Step 3
Fitness Conditioning & Strength Building with Pilates
When you become pain-free and have reached an optimum state of health following your treatment, you can move on to either Pilates group classes or private sessions. This will ensure you maintain and improve your strength, flexibility and posture in a safe environment. Our Pilates instructors are highly qualified and are educated in teaching clients with prior injuries. Modification can be made to exercises to ensure people of all levels can benefit from Pilates.

Conditions
we can help you with
Knee Pain
Knee pain can drastically affect your mobility, so we provide a thorough assessment and range of treatments along with personal training to manage pain and prevent further injuries.
Neck Pain
A low-impact, full-body workout that uses a specialised machine called a reformer to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and balance. The reformer uses springs, pulleys, and a sliding carriage to create resistance, allowing for a wide range of controlled movements. It’s suitable for all fitness levels and is especially popular for building core strength, enhancing muscle tone, and supporting rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Wrist and Hand Pain
Identifying the area of weakness through muscle length, forearm and hand strength can prevent small wrist pain from developing into severe RSI.
Shoulder Pain
Examining the shoulder joint will allow us to identify the cause of your pain and decide on the best method of treatment. We will also be able to determine whether there are any underlying causes of your pain.
Hip Pain
Your range of motion will be the key assessment in order to determine the exact source of pain. We offer multiple treatment plans for hip pain and will choose the most appropriate for your condition.
Elbow Pain
A dynamic strength class designed for all fitness levels, this session focuses on building muscle and supporting bone health. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to level up your training, this multi-level class combines bodyweight exercises with equipment like kettlebells, dumbbells, and TRX to deliver a full-body workout.
Back Pain
To determine the issue, we assess the nervous system, back and pelvic muscles, and the range of movement in the spine. Back pain can stem from many different types of injuries, so a thorough assessment is crucial to determine the source of the pain.
Ankle Pain
We assess whether you’re experiencing pain caused by muscle or joint issues, as well as your walking pattern, balance and other lower limb muscles, before selecting the treatment option right for you.
